Seen on the run (April 30, 2016)

DNF at Promise Land 50k on Saturday.
Not a surprise, but still a huge disappointment.
The early miles of climbing aggravated my hamstring and I knew that the more I pushed it, the longer it would take to heal. So at the second aid station, I told the volunteers that I was dropping.

It was a long, cold, depressing 9 mile walk back to the start.

  1. You made the right decision. Running any further would only have aggravated your injury. Besides, even 9 miles of that course is pretty amazing considering you are injuries AND ran a 100k 6 weeks ago!

  2. Oh no!! Sorry to hear about the DNF 😦 That’s such a hard decision to make. In this case it sounds like the right one. Sending healing thoughts your way!
